In 2024, Global Travel implemented Sabre PowerSuite Cloud for Travel Management. The deployment brought Sabre PowerSuite Cloud into a 50-employee Singapore travel agency environment as a cloud-based front to mid to back-office accounting and operations platform to support automated financial workflows and next generation distribution capability handling.
The implementation configured core modules of Sabre PowerSuite Cloud including front-office booking and reservation interfaces, mid-office automation for booking reconciliation and NDC order handling, and back-office accounting modules for invoicing, supplier payments, and real-time financial reporting. PowerSuite Cloud’s automation capabilities were instrumented to reduce manual mid-to-back-end tasks, enable auto-invoicing and payment updates, and surface budget tracking and forecasting data through real-time financial insights.
Integration work connected Sabre PowerSuite Cloud with Sabre Red 360 for booking flows, New Distribution Capability bookings, and Content Services for Lodging, as well as leisure supplier APIs and client and supplier payment integrations to support end-to-end booking to billing workflows. The modernization was developed in partnership with Excellent Management Limited XML, which informed the refreshed user experience and cloud architecture that removes on-premises server maintenance and centralizes data access for remote collaboration.
Operational scope covered reservations, finance and accounting functions, and agency management within the Singapore office, with the agency positioned as an early adopter in the regional rollout. Governance included role-based access to financial data, adherence to regional compliance and security standards embedded in the Cloud service, and a phased adoption approach to bring advisors and back-office staff onto new automated processes.
Explicit outcomes reported by the agency and cited by Sabre include reduced manual effort through advanced automation, improved cost predictability due to lower setup and maintenance requirements, secure cloud access enabling collaboration, and achievement of stated sustainability objectives from moving infrastructure to the Cloud. Sabre PowerSuite Cloud remains the central Travel Management application in this implementation.
