The implementation centers on modernizing core Computer Aided Dispatch capabilities, delivering a resilient and scalable platform for 112 call takers and dispatchers. HxGN OnCall Dispatch will be configured to support emergency call intake and dispatch workflows, geospatial situational awareness, and incident management processes consistent with public safety CAD functional patterns, while enabling improved operational continuity and availability for regional emergency services. Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial division is leading the upgrade and has partnered with a consortium formed by NTT DATA and Plexus Technologies to implement and maintain the system, with NTT North America listed as the SI/VAR. Operational coverage is scoped to the regional 112 service across the Balearic Islands and aligns with other Spanish public safety agencies that use Hexagon technology, including Andalusia, Madrid and Barcelona. Governance and rollout emphasize modernization of emergency call-taking and dispatch practices, replacing long-standing on-premises infrastructure from 1995 with a managed, vendor-supported Computer Aided Dispatch solution. Hexagon states the objective is to provide a more resilient, scalable system for citizens and tourists, positioning the Balearic Islands deployment as a model for other regional public safety agencies.
