In 2017, Grant Thornton migrated core financial systems to Oracle Cloud ERP as part of an ERP Financial program. The engagement was coordinated by a Technology and Business Systems Integration Manager who collaborated with client and Grant Thornton teams to develop a technical roadmap aligned to strategic and tactical program objectives. The program included conversion from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP to Oracle Cloud ERP and the development of cloud integrations using Oracle Integrated Cloud Solution.
Technical workstreams focused on data conversion, integration development, and reporting. The team converted transactional and master data from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP into Oracle Cloud ERP using Integrated Cloud Solution, and they developed integrations for third party systems to Cloud ERP leveraging the same integration framework. Configuration emphasized standard Oracle Cloud ERP functionality, and business processes were developed and updated to align operations with that standard functionality.
Program governance was enforced through a detailed project plan created in Microsoft Project, which defined granular technical, conversion, and integration milestones for the technical work stream. The implementation produced weekly PMO status reporting of technical activities and milestones, and directed collaboration with offshore teams and business users to develop custom BI Publisher reports supporting the monthly accounting function. The effort orchestrated technical, conversion, and reporting activities across finance and PMO operations.

In 2019 Grant Thornton implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution to centralize candidate screening and contingent offer processing. The initial deployment focused on recruiting and human resources workflows within the United States, bringing background screening into standard onboarding sequences for security sensitive hires and general new hire processing.
Sterling Background Check was configured to support ticketed background investigations and conditional offer workflows, using SterlingOne to create and manage background check orders and escalate clearance status. Functional capabilities implemented included ticket processing for background checks, generation of contingent and firm offer letters, invoice review and approvals, and maintenance of candidate clearance and cleared to bill status for Security & Defense recruiting.
The Sterling Background Check implementation integrated operationally with the applicant tracking system for interview scheduling and candidate status tracking, Microsoft Outlook for interview and candidate communications, and Concur for travel booking instructions associated with orientation. Daily spreadsheets and centralized trackers were maintained to report extended, accepted, contingent and temp to perm offers, and to provide weekly updates to Human Resources, Recruiting, FSO, and Security & Defense teams.
Governance and workflow changes included development of a Recruiting Coordinator standard operating procedure, formalized ticket processing through SterlingOne, and routine invoice and approval checks as part of background screening operations. The project institutionalized background screening workflows within Recruiting and HR, enabling coordinated handoffs between recruiting coordinators, hiring managers, and security teams.

In 2015, Grant Thornton implemented Accruent EMS as its Facility Management application at the firm in the United States. The deployment is recorded on the EMS Software customer list and identifies Accruent EMS as the facility systems vendor in public customer references.
The Accruent EMS implementation focused on core Facility Management capabilities common to CAFM class systems, including centralized work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset lifecycle tracking, and space planning and allocation. Accruent EMS was configured to consolidate facilities workflows and standardize service request intake, enabling consistent maintenance and asset data capture across locations.
Operational integration patterns for this class of deployment typically connect Accruent EMS to corporate HR and finance systems for cost and occupancy alignment, and to vendor management or service dispatch channels for outsourced maintenance coordination. Within Grant Thornton the system supported facilities management and real estate functions, concentrating operational ownership with central facilities teams and local site coordinators.
Governance changes accompanying the rollout emphasized standardized work request and maintenance approval workflows, asset and space data governance, and consolidated reporting to facilities leadership. The public customer listing on the EMS Software site documents the vendor relationship and confirms Grant Thornton as an Accruent EMS customer for Facility Management.
