Sage Legacy Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, the City of Grapevine, TX implemented Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) as its Core HR application. The deployment centralized Human Resources operations for a municipal workforce of approximately 584 employees, consolidating employee recordkeeping, applicant management, new hire orientation, and I-9 compliance into Sage HRMS (Sage Abra). Day-to-day workflows documented by HR included updating the ABRA Human Resource Information System database with employee status change forms prior to forwarding to Payroll for processing, verifying payroll changes for accuracy, and maintaining confidential personnel and medical files. The system was also used to manage the citys online application process, support manual input of paper applications, coordinate pre-employment physical and drug testing, and compile Department of Labor statistics and performance indicator reports. Configuration focused on Core HR capabilities such as centralized employee records, applicant tracking, onboarding packet generation, I-9 tracking, and HR reporting. Operational procedures were adapted so the Human Resources Specialist performed system data entry, recruitment screening, scheduling of testing and orientation, coordination of polygraphs and meetings, and distribution of performance evaluation materials through the HRIS. Governance emphasized confidentiality controls for sensitive files, a standardized status change workflow that gated payroll notifications, and consistent use of Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) for salary and benefit survey responses and budget support.

The deployment used Enterprise Asset Management principles to centralize asset records and operationalize maintenance workflows across municipal departments, with explicit involvement from the Parks and Recreation department.
