In 2005, Great Eastern Life implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial platform to support group corporate finance functions and integrate with broader Corporate Systems. Oracle E-Business Suite was positioned within the Group IT portfolio alongside Oracle HR and HCM to provide an integrated application stack for Finance and HR operations.
The implementation focused on standard Oracle E-Business Suite financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, subledger accounting, and financial reporting components. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, period close controls, intercompany accounting flows, and centralized transaction processing to support Group-level financial governance and statutory reporting.
Integrations were implemented to connect Oracle E-Business Suite with Oracle HR and HCM suites for workforce cost and payroll reconciliation, and with IBM Cognos for enterprise financial reporting and analytics. Operational coverage included Group IT ownership of Corporate Systems, BAU production support for Financial and HR applications, and cross-functional use by Finance and HR departments within the company.
Governance and delivery were managed through a programme director model responsible for aligning the application roadmap with IT architecture, overseeing vendor and contractor engagements, conducting RFPs, and actively managing vendor deliverables and payments. The role also encompassed ensuring compliance with Group IT and corporate policies, maintaining production systems, and driving risk identification and mitigation related to regulatory and operational controls.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025, Great Eastern Life implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as part of a broader Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Procurement deployment. Great Eastern Life is a leading insurer with more than 15.5 million policyholders and roughly 5,250 employees, operating across Singapore and Malaysia, and the implementation establishes Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR platform.
The Oracle Cloud HCM configuration focuses on Core HR functionality, including centralized workforce records, organization modeling, position and job management, workforce lifecycle workflows, and benefits and absence administration. The deployment aligns Core HR data with financial master data, enabling consistent entity and chart of accounts structures across the suite, and supports payroll integration and workforce data feeds typical of Core HR implementations.
Oracle Cloud HCM is implemented within an integrated Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Procurement environment, creating shared master data across HR, finance, and procurement domains. The integrated cloud suite is used to automate source-to-settle processes in procurement and to prepare consolidated financial statements, linking HR headcount and cost data to financial consolidation workflows.
Governance workstreams established centralized master data management and a restructured chart of accounts to support standardized reporting and consolidation. Process changes emphasized automated source-to-settle and cross-domain data governance, and the combined Oracle Cloud HCM, Fusion Cloud ERP, and Oracle Procurement configuration is positioned to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of consolidated financial statement preparation.

| eBaoTech | Legacy | eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite | Insurance ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 Great Eastern Life implemented eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite as an Insurance ERP across its Singapore and Malaysia operations. The deployment positioned eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite as the insurer's core insurance platform in those markets and involved migration of millions of individual in-force policies onto the platform. Implementation activities were completed for Singapore and Malaysia with plans to extend eBaoTech solutions to other Asian businesses.
The implementation leveraged standard Insurance ERP functional areas consistent with platform design, centered on policy administration and a core policy data repository that supported underwriting, billing and distribution workflows. Configuration work emphasized in-force policy record consolidation, product configuration for life and individual policies, and operationalization of policy servicing processes across business units. These modules supported day-to-day insurer functions including policy issuance, endorsements and premium processing.
Operational scope included corporate life operations across Singapore and Malaysia, and the Great Eastern Life China joint venture continues to run eBaoTech LifeSystem as its core insurance platform. The rollout strategy kept the platform aligned with regional operating models for distribution and servicing, enabling a single core instance to support multiple country operations while preserving local product configurations. Integrations with distribution channels and servicing workflows were implemented in line with Insurance ERP category expectations to maintain policy lifecycle continuity.
Governance and rollout governance focused on phased cutovers and centralized platform stewardship for the regional estate, with completed deployments in the two initial markets and a roadmap for broader Asian rollouts. The decision to adopt eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite signaled Great Eastern Lifes confidence in eBaoTech products and implementation capabilities, and the program permanently established eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite as a central operational platform for Great Eastern Life in the region.
