In 2001, Greco and Sons, Inc implemented NECS entree as its Distribution ERP to support core wholesale and delivery operations across three corporate locations and an extended field force. The deployment covered desk-side and server-adjacent support for roughly 100 corporate users and over 100 field salesmen and delivery drivers, with NECS entree positioned as the transaction and distribution engine for order entry and inventory control workflows common to the Distribution ERP category.
Operational responsibilities included Windows user support delivered remotely using INC by Impact Networking, and ticket tracking using ZenDesk, which were integrated into the ongoing support workflow for NECS entree. The environment incorporated mobile application delivery through PlanetPress by Anoto, device restrictions and inventory management through Maas360 and Verizon, and routine hardware and software installation and maintenance for client endpoints.
Systems-level integration and reporting were explicit components of the implementation, with NECS entree troubleshooting and ERP support linked to database reporting via Crystal Reports, scheduling workflows through Jeff-Net and GoldMine, and identity and messaging services managed through Active Directory and Exchange. Active Directory work emphasized account creation and organizational unit usage, while Exchange tasks covered mailbox creation, mailbox feature and size adjustments, user access restrictions, and mail forwarding to align messaging and ERP access controls.
Governance and day to day operational processes centered on desk-side support and IT service orchestration, combining ticketing, remote support sessions, device management, and scheduled reports to sustain distribution operations. The support model documented here captures role based account management, mailbox provisioning, ERP troubleshooting procedures, and endpoint lifecycle activities required to keep NECS entree functioning across corporate and field sales operations.
