The deployment provided a company wide reporting backbone, supporting separate departmental financial reports, consolidated corporate financial reporting, and operational reporting for factory sites. BizVIew was configured to run a standard cost based calculation system for Grilstad's production, and the implementation encompassed financial reporting, production control workflows, and delivery precision control. Insightsoftware BizVIew was used to produce daily, weekly, and monthly delivery precision reports, and to generate financial reports for each business area as well as aggregate corporate statements. The implementation integrated transactional feeds from the sales order system and delivery system to drive delivery precision reporting, and it collects data from purchasing, warehouse, and production systems. BizVIew consolidates these operational data streams together with data from the financial ledgers and it is fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX, enabling detailed analysis of production cost deviations for each production run and each item number. Governance and operational changes centralized reporting and enabled self service access to reports, reducing reliance on IT and external consultants.
