Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2012 2018
In 2012 Groupe Dynamite implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial solution to centralize core finance and accounting processes across its Canadian retail operations. Oracle E-Business Suite was positioned to serve statutory accounting, ledger consolidation, and transaction processing for a mid-market retail footprint, aligning finance with merchandising and supply chain systems. The deployment emphasized standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, tax configuration, subledger accounting, and financial reporting and period close workflows. Configuration work focused on a retail-friendly chart of accounts and month-end close automation, with role based access controls and segregation of duties applied to finance and accounting modules. Integrations were implemented with Oracle Retail ERP and Oracle Retail Analytics and with Manhattan Scale WMS, enabling inventory valuation, cost of goods sold reconciliation, invoice posting from order-to-cash, and transfer of merchandise financials into the general ledger. These integrations supported cross functional data flows between finance, merchandising, supply chain, and store operations to maintain consistent inventory costing and sales accounting. Governance centered on centralized financial controls, standardized close procedures, and change management for finance processes, with operational stewardship retained by corporate finance and close owners. The implementation narrative reflects an enterprise ERP Financial deployment integrating retail ERP, retail analytics, and a warehouse management system to unify transactional accounting and reporting.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Retail Merchandising System Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2017
In 2016, Groupe Dynamite implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising System to centralize merchandising and planning across its Retail Management operations. The deployment supported a retail estate of more than 400 stores and online shopping experiences across 10 countries, operating with over 6,000 employees under the Garage and Dynamite brands, and targeted fast fashion assortment and inventory performance challenges. The project deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising Financial Planning Cloud Service to provide a unified, science based cloud planning solution, emphasizing store level detail, open to buy workflows, and data science driven assortment prioritization. Configuration focused on an intuitive, configurable user interface for planners, integrated merchandise financial planning capabilities, and the flexibility to run regional assortment prioritization and global allocation from a single planning model. Architecturally the implementation extended an existing Oracle stack, leveraging Oracle SOA Suite for real time messaging between retail services and back office systems, and building on prior Oracle Retail investments. Groupe Dynamite had previously deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising, Stores and Financial Inventory Management solutions in 2014 and Oracle Commerce solutions in 2011, creating a single view of inventory and a commerce to supply chain linkage that the new planning cloud service augmented. Governance and rollout were structured as a rapid cloud phase, the Oracle Retail Merchandising Financial Planning Cloud Service going live in three months, delivered on time and on budget, with an explicit next phase to implement Oracle Retail Assortment Planning Cloud Service. Operational changes included shifting regional product intelligence resources toward analytics driven assortment transfers and rebalancing planner workflows to exploit store level planning outputs. Reported outcomes in the deployment narrative include empowering planning teams with a modern, intuitive interface and a holistic planning solution that enables more strategic merchandise decisions at store level. The implementation reinforces Groupe Dynamites unified global planning approach within Retail Management and positions the business to extend cloud based assortment and optimization services in subsequent phases.
