In 2020, Grupo Prodensa implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial solution. The company selected a cloud first deployment to enable staff to work from any location and to offload the complexity and expense of managing the application in its own data center, replacing Intelisis ERP 6000 after evaluating offerings from Microsoft and SAP as well as Oracle.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation focused on core financial modules and supplier invoicing workflows. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to support accounts payable automation, procurement to pay validations that match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, and automated bank reconciliation, enabling faster invoice entry and validation workflows.
Operational scope covered Grupo Prodensa's accounting and accounts payable functions and extended to supplier interactions by enabling suppliers to submit invoices directly into the cloud system. The cloud deployment supported a move to a shared services model and allowed the company to remotely manage client back office systems during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grupo Prodensa worked closely with system integrator Rapid4Cloud throughout the initial rollout, and Rapid4Cloud continues to consult on updates and configuration changes. Governance and process changes included centralizing finance operations into a shared services structure and reengineering month end and close workflows to align with automation and faster reconciliation cycles.
Reported outcomes include invoice entry reduced to under one minute, validation and bank reconciliation completed in about five minutes versus previous 30 minute processes, accounts payable closing in the first two days of the month, and final financial statements available on the fifth day instead of taking 10 days. The deployment met the stated objective of enabling remote work while reducing on premise management complexity and expense.
