In 2010, Hanson Limited implemented UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) to manage Time and Attendance across its payroll operations. The deployment centralized time capture and validation for field crews and salaried staff, establishing a single system of record for time collection and payroll input for multiple pay frequencies including two weekly, one bi-weekly and one semi-monthly payroll run.
The UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper implementation covered standard Time and Attendance capabilities, including time capture, exception handling, payroll adjustments, special payment requests, deductions, severances and off cycle payroll processing. Configuration work included accrual and benefits interface points and repeated payroll testing cycles for new accruals, benefit setups and deduction configurations to ensure accurate pay rule behavior.
Integration work explicitly included importing Validata output from the Kronos Time and Attendance dataset into JD Edwards for downstream payroll processing. Operational responsibilities included liaison between field supervisors, employees and external agencies to resolve payroll questions, and processing all payroll adjustments, special payments and off cycle payrolls through the integrated UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper to JD Edwards flow.
Governance centered on strict payroll testing, controlled setup of new accruals and deduction rules, and documented procedures for Record of Employments processing for Canada. Routine operational controls supported timely and accurate processing of the various payroll cadences and maintained auditability for employee pay and separation events.
