Coupa Software Legacy Coupa Invoice AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, Hapag-Lloyd implemented Coupa Invoice for AP Automation. The deployment targeted Accounts Payable and Finance operations, establishing Coupa Invoice as the central invoice intake and routing engine used by AP specialists to review and process invoices and expense reports and to serve as the vendor point of contact for payment inquiries. Coupa Invoice was configured to support invoice capture, approval routing to requestors, vendor statement reconciliation, and payment orchestration. The implementation included operational tasks for reconciling open invoices, resolving brokerage disputes, and creating automations for task management using Power Automate. Coupa Invoice was also used to manage onboarding and testing of EDI application interfaces for facility customers, aligning invoice workflows with EDI document flows. Integrations were implemented with the SAP system for invoice posting and payment execution, and with ACH payment setup workflows for vendor disbursements. The Accounts Payable team coordinated directly with operations to research payment processing issues from vendor statements of account, and the solution was instrumented to route invoices to the correct vendors and requestors within the organization. Operational governance centered on AP specialist ownership for invoice processing, vendor communications, and escalation to the Ops team for dispute resolution. Processes included standardized routing through Coupa Invoice, reconciliation and reporting handoffs to SAP posting, and a formalized EDI customer on boarding and testing workflow. These controls framed how Hapag-Lloyd used Coupa Invoice for AP Automation across its finance and operations functions.

softgarden e-recruiting GmbH Legacy softgarden ATS Applicant Tracking System HCM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Hapag-Lloyd implemented softgarden ATS as an Applicant Tracking System and exposed it on the company careers website to publish vacancies and capture candidate applications. The deployment positioned softgarden ATS as the primary external application channel for job seekers, embedding application forms and vacancy detail pages within Hapag-Lloyd's public job search interface. Configuration emphasized standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job posting management, candidate application capture and parsing, candidate pipeline tracking, interview scheduling, and requisition workflow controls. The softgarden ATS implementation centralized application intake into structured candidate records and provided role-based access for HR users and hiring managers to review and progress candidates through stages of the recruitment lifecycle. Operational scope focused on supporting Hapag-Lloyd's recruiting function via the careers site, standardizing application flows and consolidating candidate data for HR operations. Governance relied on ATS-driven workflows and staged review gates to align hiring manager approvals and HR processing with the company recruitment policies.

SAP Legacy SAP BW (Business Warehouse) Data Warehouse Analytics and BI n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Hapag-Lloyd implemented SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as its Data Warehouse to centralize financial reporting and analytics for treasury and corporate finance. The SAP BW implementation served as the primary data warehouse platform for consolidating cash and liquidity related datasets and for driving analytical workflows across finance functions. The implementation included explicit SAP BW Reporting capabilities and integrations with SAP Cashmanagement and SAP Liquidity Planning, and it incorporated data from SAP-Finance. Configuration work emphasized data modeling and ETL pipelines within SAP BW, while predictive analytics and algorithmic forecasting components were introduced to support liquidity scenarios and planning use cases. SAP BW (Business Warehouse) was used to host InfoProviders and reporting layers that supported finance-driven analytics and MAS related workflows. Architecturally the deployment integrated transactional feeds into the Data Warehouse using SAP PI as the middleware layer to orchestrate data movement from source finance modules into SAP BW. The solution pattern organized financial subject areas within BW to enable cross module reporting across Cashmanagement, Liquidity Planning, and SAP-Finance datasets, while preserving auditability of source transactions. Operational scope focused on finance and treasury functions, with governance centered on standardized data models, reporting catalog management, and role based access for finance users. The implementation established a single SAP BW reporting fabric for cash and liquidity information and embedded predictive analytics and algorithms into the warehouse layer to support scenario analysis and planning workflows.
