| Oracle | Workday HCM | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023 HarbisonWalker International migrated a Workday HCM instance into Oracle Cloud HCM to consolidate Core HR following a corporate merger. The deployment extended Oracle Cloud HCM across 34 countries in the Americas, EMEA and APAC and brought Core, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Performance and Onboarding modules into a single global HCM landscape.
Implementation activities centered on module configuration and orchestration, including recruiting workflow setup, onboarding automation, talent profile and succession configuration, performance management and compensation structures within Oracle Cloud HCM. Prior consolidation work had already migrated PeopleSoft environments into Oracle Cloud HCM, and the 2023 effort integrated the incoming Workday instance into that existing Oracle Cloud HCM footprint to unify employee record and talent processes.
The program included explicit system-to-system work with payroll and timekeeping, migrating four new pay groups into UKG Payroll and Timekeeping and establishing operational data flows between Oracle Cloud HCM and UKG for payroll and time collection. The rollout accounted for regional payroll grouping and statutory considerations across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, aligning HR transactions and timekeeping inputs to the centralized Core HR application.
Governance and operationalization focused on building processes and procedures for steady state maintenance, and readying KPI reporting and dashboards for global HR visibility. Responsibility for ongoing HR system administration, KPI delivery and cross-regional process standardization was moved toward a centralized HR systems and analytics function to sustain the Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR environment.
