In 2016, Havensteder implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial application. The deployment established Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the primary financial system for the Rotterdam housing association, consolidating core accounting and finance functions under the Microsoft vendor platform.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to support standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, budgeting and financial reporting, and procurement-related finance controls. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts alignment, invoice approval workflows, automated posting rules and localized tax and compliance settings to match Dutch regulatory requirements.
Cegeka served as the systems integrator during implementation, managing configuration, integration design and rollout coordination. The implementation included integrations and links with external suppliers and internal I&A teams, plus the establishment of a controlled testing environment and test guidance to validate interfaces and transaction flows.
Governance and operational responsibility were organized around an application domain model, with an application manager accountable for incident and problem analysis, coordination of timely resolution, performance monitoring, creation of work instructions for I&A support, formulation of project plans for application changes, testing oversight and monitoring project realization. Day to day operations and change control focused on ensuring application performance met quality and user requirements across finance and related business functions.

In 2016, Havensteder implemented ZIG Dynamics Empire ERP as its core system for property operations. The deployment targeted Real Estate Property Management to centralize tenancy, lease and property lifecycle workflows, with Cegeka engaged as the implementation partner.
The ZIG Dynamics Empire ERP deployment included configuration of property management modules such as tenancy and lease administration, maintenance work order handling, and integrated reporting frameworks aligned to housing association operational processes. Configuration work explicitly covered MS Reporting Services and RDLC report and letter template development, and migration of document templates to Wordlink to standardize correspondence and document generation.
Integrations and migration activities focused on document management and release transitions, including Empire DMS and the transition to DMS Online from ZIG, plus interoperability work involving external DMS referenced in project activity such as Diskis, ShareworX and E-content. Prof-IT4all provided testing, conversions, GDPR cleaning and ongoing application management support while Cegeka delivered core Dynamics Empire implementation and release guidance.
Governance and rollout followed release-based support and testing cycles with release guidance for R19, R20 and subsequent releases, and application management processes were established to govern templates, reporting and document workflows. ZIG Dynamics Empire ERP impacted IT operations, application management, reporting and document governance across Havensteder property management functions, and consultancy relationships continued to provide migration and release support through 2024.
