The SAP HCM Compensation deployment was delivered alongside SAP HCM modules Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Compensation Management, Learning Solution, and Performance Management, with a German specific add-on to manage the legally governed sickness related absenteeism process Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement. Functional template definition and configuration covered compensation planning workflows, eligibility rules, and pay element mappings to support statutory and country specific payroll requirements. The implementation emphasized Compensation Management workflows, role based access controls, and configuration of approval paths for variable pay. Integrations were scoped for Success Factors Recruiting and a Global identity management system, reflecting coordination between talent acquisition, identity provisioning, and core HR processes. The rollout architecture centralized HR master data in SAP HCM Compensation and interfaced compensation events to payroll and personnel administration for downstream processing. Operational coverage included HR, payroll, learning, and performance management functions across Hornbachs international footprint. Governance was executed with a Product Owner role inside an agile project management organization to plan and prioritize HR IT related business requirements. Change management activities included stakeholder engagement, test management, and key user support, while project tasks encompassed vendor selection, scoping, budgeting, and organizational design. The program established standardized compensation approval workflows and end to end governance between compensation planning and payroll execution.
