In 2016 Bridgestone HosePower implemented Infor Distribution SX.e as its Distribution ERP, replacing Epicor Prophet 21. The deployment established Infor Distribution SX.e as the central system for distribution operations, explicitly aligning the application to inventory control, order to cash, purchasing, warehouse transaction processing, and core financial ledgers to support supply chain and sales functions.
Configuration work focused on standard Distribution ERP workflows including inventory management, order management, procurement and warehouse processing. The implementation included configuration of pricing and billing structures, transaction posting rules and business unit segmentation to support multi-site distribution operations, and the application was positioned to handle acquisition-driven data consolidation use cases noted during the project.
Operational coverage extended to a centralized data center architecture designed and supported by the company IT organization, and a maintained network of 40 remote locations across the United States and Mexico for distributed transaction processing and site connectivity. The project encompassed consolidation of acquired companies IT resources and data into the Infor Distribution SX.e instance, and the deployment was structured to support centralized master data with remote site synchronization.
Governance and operational handover were managed by the internal IT team, the IT Manager trained and supervised IT department staff and owned rollout sequencing across locations. Process standardization and ongoing application support were established as part of the implementation, with IT operations and supply chain teams absorbing administration and operational responsibilities for the Distribution ERP environment.
