In 2016, J.M. Huber implemented Empyrean Benefits as a Benefits Administration solution. The deployment addressed benefits administration for the 5000 employee manufacturing company in the United States, concentrating on HR and benefits management functions.
The implementation centered on core Benefits Administration capabilities, including benefits enrollment, eligibility and life-event management, plan configuration, employee self-service for benefit elections, and reporting to support benefits operations. Empyrean Benefits was configured to standardize enrollment workflows, manage plan tiers and dependent eligibility, and provide the HR team with administrative controls aligned to company benefit policies.
Governance was structured through HR benefits teams to centralize oversight of open enrollment and mid-year change processes, and to formalize workflow controls for approvals and recordkeeping. The project emphasized system configuration and process standardization to operationalize benefits workflows across the organization using Empyrean Benefits.
