In 2010, Hudson Advisors L.P implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial application to centralize core finance operations and financial reporting. The implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite encompassed EBS R12 modules including Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, General Ledger, and Purchasing to support treasury, payables, receivables, procurement, and asset accounting functions across the finance organization.
The program included design and architecture of a new business intelligence environment built on OBIEE 10g and 11g, Informatica 8.6 and v9.x, DAC, OBIA 7.9, and Essbase, with SharePoint used for ancillary content. A multi user development environment was provisioned for the Hudson Americas team, and a new enterprise data warehouse was modeled for the Whole Loans department using a Ralph Kimball dimensional approach, with ERWIN and the Zachman Framework to define fact and dimension tables and star schemas.
Technical workstreams created Informatica workflows to migrate data from flat files and Legacy systems into SQL Server tables, using active and passive transformations such as Router, Aggregator, Lookup, and Sequence Generator. The team populated analytics metadata and custom star schemas, built the OBIEE repository rpd to support drill downs, shared measures and rank calculations, configured presentation catalogs and folders, and developed role based security for report consumers.
Requirements gathering and prototyping were performed with Whole Loan, Securities, and Portfolio Management departments to deliver approximately 75 reports and dashboards. Automation was implemented to convert daily, weekly, and monthly Excel reports into OBIEE dashboards using iBots, dynamic dashboard prompts were used to create a Loan Summary Portal for searching the whole loan database, and Siebel Delivers was enabled using iBots with Scheduler and Job Manager for report distribution.
Operational governance included managing an offshore team of OBIEE and ETL developers and the introduction of daily scrum sessions to capture issues, track assigned work, and report progress. Hudson Advisors L.P, Oracle E-Business Suite, ERP Financial, supported finance business functions through a combined ERP and BI architecture that integrated EBS transaction data and analytical reporting for treasury, accounting, and portfolio reporting workflows.
