HOC formed a capital planning and forecasting team, supported by changing reporting requirements from its existing SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) system. With more insight into capital expense transactions out of SAP ERP, the team began to consider long-term forecasting in the context of defined processes to drive actuals.
Because of their growth and expansion, Hunt needed centralized planning that could handle growing needs. Hunt partnered with itelligence to implement the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation for SAP NetWeaver technology platform, powered by SAP HANA to enable consistent planning and consolidation processes with a common enterprise-wide strategic solution, reduce planning and consolidation cycle times and support business ownership of planning and consolidation solution.
Outcome and Implications
As a result, Hunt has improved process efficiency by reducing planning and forecasting cycle times, increased the accuracy and consistency of data, and enabled faster reporting and more detailed analysis. In addition, the application enabled enhanced visibility into planning processes and improved self-service reporting tools and query turnaround times, giving Hunt a competitive edge when it comes to speed and performance.
