In 2020, IEM implemented Verisk Xactimate to support Insurance Claims Management workflows across federally funded rebuild programs. The deployment is used by remote Construction Project Managers supporting Rebuild Florida, TX GLO, and Rebuild Puerto Rico programs, and it is embedded in IEM's claims scoping and file closeout processes.
Verisk Xactimate is used for scoping analyses, preparing final scope reconciliations to align planned and completed work prior to file closeout or award, and documenting estimate line items and scope adjustments. Configuration emphasizes estimating templates, scope adjustment workflows, and producing exportable estimate and reconciliation artifacts to support grant fund requests and contractor validation. Day-to-day users pair Verisk Xactimate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint to generate the documentation required for compliance and file submission.
Operational integrations explicitly include IEM and State database systems, including SIROMS, HRIQ, Canopy, Salesforce, and Smartsheets, enabling transfer of scoped estimates, case notes, and closeout documentation between estimating and case management systems. The implementation covers the Construction team, Scope Team, Payment Processing Team, QA/QC Compliance and Monitoring team, Pod Leads, and Construction Managers, with governance that mandates escalation of scoping issues to Pod Lead, Scope Lead, and Construction Manager and a two day window for submitting grant and contractor validation requests to Payments. This positions Verisk Xactimate as the core Insurance Claims Management estimating engine within IEM's claims processing and closeout workflow.
