In 2022, Ikano Bank deployed NetSol Technologies NFS Ascent in a Lease Management implementation. The rollout used NFS Ascent 2.0, a large scale enterprise leasing and financing suite positioned to manage more than $450B of assets, and targeted BNPLs, leasing, financing and B2B2C lending workflows for the IKEA Group Ikano Bank EU engagement.
Configuration and functional work centered on leasing lifecycle modules, contract management, installment finance orchestration and consumer BNPL processing, with solution design support provided by business analysts and solution architects. Delivery governance included structured product requirements document refinement, backlog maintenance and formal change request handling, while quality assurance processes were executed through end to end QA sprints covering requirement refinement, test planning, execution, UAT, client demos and post delivery customer support.
Operational scope was focused on Ikano Bank EU operations supporting retailer finance and B2B2C business functions within the IKEA Group project. In 2014, Ikano Bank implemented SymphonyAI Sensa NetReveal as its core AML, Fraud and Compliance solution across all markets, initiating a program to deliver one common AML platform to cover all regulatory requirements. The deployment was positioned to centralize detection and screening capabilities for the bank’s compliance function while aligning AML controls across jurisdictions.
The implementation configured SymphonyAI Sensa NetReveal with Customer Due Diligence capabilities, Watchlist Management, AML Scenarios for scenario-based detection, and both real time and batch screening engines. SymphonyAI Sensa NetReveal was used to operationalize rule and scenario management, automate screening workflows, and produce alerts for further review by AML operations and compliance teams.
Deployment architecture combined continuous real time screening with scheduled batch screening pipelines to ensure coverage of transactional and periodic reviews, and the rollout targeted a single, bankwide AML platform to harmonize controls across markets. Consulting resources supported the project in multiple roles during implementation, and governance work focused on common scenario libraries and standardized operational processes for AML, KYC and compliance teams.

| UiPath | Legacy | UiPath RPA Platform | Robotic Process Automation | PaaS | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Ikano Bank deployed the UiPath RPA Platform as its Robotic Process Automation solution. The initiative established an enterprise program to reduce administrative burden across Ikano Bank, which serves customers across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, the UK, Poland, Germany, and Austria. The deployment was organized under a dedicated Automation Office to consolidate prior island automations into a coherent operational model.
The UiPath RPA Platform implementation focused on unattended automations, orchestration, and process automation capabilities to handle high volume transactional tasks. Early functional implementations included bots to update name changes across core banking systems, a payment deferral eligibility workflow that processed customer forms end to end, and an IKEA website API handler that evaluated finance applications in under 60 seconds. The Automation Office also piloted CRM extraction and broker API push workflows and is evaluating Document Understanding and machine learning to extend bots to paper based and AI augmented processes.
Integrations explicitly include the IKEA website API for instant credit checks, CRM exports feeding broker APIs for product targeting, and automated updates into the bank's core banking records. Robots were deployed across eight countries and concentrated activity in customer service where over 40 percent of automations operate, while finance and IT also hosted notable automation footprints. The architecture emphasized unattended execution for scale, with plans to increase attended automations for desktop assisted workflows.
Governance was centralized through the Automation Office which created a center of excellence, defined processes for creation, deployment and maintenance, and recruited a virtual workforce of automation pilots in every country. The rollout used a show and tell approach, delivering 15 low complexity bots in six months to rebuild internal confidence, and established around 40 automation collaborators to surface process ideas and maintain stakeholder engagement. Formal education was introduced using UiPath Reboot Your Skills workshops and a proposed three tiered internal training program to sustain automation literacy.
Outcomes reported by Ikano Bank include automating over 170 processes since 2019, automating 100 processes in 2021, saving 33,500 hours in one year which exceeded 2020 KPIs by 300 percent, and reporting approximately 100,000 hours saved for 2021. The IKEA integration contributed about 50,000 new customers in the last year and a half and CRM to broker workflows are expected to drive incremental sales near 30 million DKK. Future capability expansion is focused on shifting from predominantly unattended bots to a mix of attended automation and document understanding technologies.
