In 2011, Informa implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment focused on onboarding Datamonitor business units onto the Informa Group ERP platform and establishing a standardized renewals management framework to be applied across the full range of subscription products and client groups.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation delivered core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and controlling workflows, configured to centralize accounting, billing and invoicing processes. A group-level renewals management framework was configured within the ERP Financial landscape to manage subscription renewals, renewal billing cycles and contract status tracking across product lines.
The rollout targeted finance and subscription operations, aligning order-to-cash and recurring revenue processes under the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance. Functional configuration supported subscription product billing, client group segmentation and consolidated financial reporting for the onboarded Datamonitor entities.
Governance was organized through group finance controls and standardized renewal procedures, with configuration governance to enforce consistent master data, pricing and contract terms across units. Deployment workstreams emphasized process standardization and phased onboarding of business units onto SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to unify renewals and financial operations.

In 2016, Informa implemented Oracle OBIEE as its Analytics and BI platform. The deployment targeted finance-led ad hoc and management reporting workloads that were restructured around a new P&L and segment taxonomy including Portfolios, Product Type, ICB Industries, Geography, and HR/Headcount.
Oracle OBIEE was configured to deliver visual dashboards and ad hoc query capabilities, and to support monthly management reporting workflows such as completion of month-end processes, reconciliations, and posting journals. Functional capabilities implemented included creation of 3QF and Budget reporting packs, structured data analysis and commentary for senior management reviews, and conversion of prior SmartView outputs into more visual OBIEE reports.
The implementation included translation of existing Oracle Hyperion Smartview reports into Oracle OBIEE visuals, with written test scripts used to validate report parity and presentation. Operational coverage emphasized Finance and management reporting, and the project established business partnering with Marketing to define methodologies for allocating budgeted costs across EMEA products.
Governance and workflow changes centered on packaged reporting for senior management sign-off and test-driven validation of report translations, embedding Oracle OBIEE into routine month-end and planning cycles to centralize analysis and provide a consistent P&L and segmentation view.
