Ingersoll Rand implemented Oracle E-Business Suite in 2022, deploying the application environment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to run Oracle E-Business Suite and related applications. The decision followed leadership evaluation of multiple hosting options and favored OCI for its competitive pricing and proven performance, aligning with the company strategy after the 2020 corporate realignment of Gardner Denver and Ingersoll Rand’s industrial segment across more than 40 brands.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment was positioned as an ERP Financial platform to centralize core finance and accounting functions, with configuration and workflows consistent with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial reporting capabilities typical of the ERP Financial category. Architecture focused on hosting E-Business Suite on OCI compute and storage tiers to support consolidated corporate finance operations across the industrial portfolio, and the rollout included integration of the Oracle E-Business Suite instance with related applications in the environment to support end to end financial processes and control.

In 2012, Ingersoll Rand implemented Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration as the core Benefits Administration solution to manage benefits design and enrollment across its HR benefits lifecycle. The implementation was executed in partnership with the company Health and Welfare Manager to drive annual benefit design changes and align system configuration with business policy.
Configuration work focused on plan setup, eligibility rules, enrollment workflows and benefit deduction logic within Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration, with repeated reviews of benefit designs against PeopleSoft HRMS system constraints. The team assisted in benefit design reviews and applied category-aligned configuration patterns to support open enrollment and ongoing qualifying life event processing.
Integration scope included coordination of HR and benefit interface changes and end to end testing for a global PeopleSoft upgrade in 2017, reflecting continuous alignment with PeopleSoft HRMS. The program provided input into external vendor selection reviews and organized vendor interface requirements to support downstream payroll and benefits administration data flows.
Governance and operational practices were formalized through a yearly benefits change cycle owned jointly by HR benefits and system leads, weekly knowledge share and coaching sessions to build team capability, and documented decision communication practices to manage sensitive stakeholder conversations. Close collaboration with the Health and Welfare Manager ensured process controls and timely rollout of annual design changes.
The implementation delivered measurable engagement and service impacts that were recorded by the organization, specifically a 15% increase in Employee Engagement Scores and a 13% increase in Internal Customer Service Levels, and strengthened the benefits operations team through ongoing coaching and knowledge transfer.

| Epicor | Legacy | Epicor Prophet 21 | Distribution ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Ingersoll Rand implemented Epicor Prophet 21 as its Distribution ERP. The deployment focused on distribution and supply chain operational domains, bringing centralized order management, inventory control, purchasing, and financial ledgers into a single Distribution ERP platform to support finance, sales, purchasing, warehouse operations, and customer service workflows.
Epicor Prophet 21 was configured to leverage core modules including eCommerce integration, business intelligence via Epicor Data Analytics, financial management with A/R, A/P and general ledger functionality, CRM, sales management with order management and strategic pricing, supply chain management featuring Advanced Demand Forecasting, DocStar enterprise content management, and wireless warehouse management. The implementation emphasized mobile access and real-time inventory visibility, and used multicompany and multicurrency capabilities where required to align with distributed operational needs.
The architecture options for Epicor Prophet 21 included both on-premises deployments and cloud SaaS on Microsoft Azure, using a technology stack of HTML5, Angular JS, .NET, and SQL Server, and exposing APIs for extensibility. Integrations were implemented to connect the ERP with eCommerce channels via Adobe Commerce, and with external systems through configurable connectors such as cloud integrators and middleware, enabling points of integration with CRM, PIM, EDI, and other commerce endpoints to centralize order history and customer data flows.
Governance and rollout followed Epicor’s five stage methodology of prepare, plan, design, validate and deploy, with consulting support for design workshops, validation testing, go-live planning and end-user training. For on-premises customers, extended technical assistance is available for an additional fee, and ongoing access to Epicor’s online client support center was established to provide documentation, community resources and 24 by 7 support channels for the Epicor Prophet 21 deployment.
