In 2010, Inner Fence partnered with Merchant Focus to deploy Merchant Focus Payment Gateway, a Payment Processing solution for its mobile credit-card terminal application. The deployment enabled merchants to accept card payments on smartphones and tablets across the United States and tied the Merchant Focus Payment Gateway directly to the company s mobile retail payments workflow.
Implementation scope centered on merchant services and mobile payment acceptance, with Merchant Focus responsible for merchant account provisioning and gateway integration for the mobile terminal app. Functional capabilities implemented included merchant account onboarding, payment transaction processing and authorization flows, and gateway-level connectivity consistent with Payment Processing operations.
Integrations were explicit, Authorize.Net served as the payment gateway integration point while Merchant Focus managed the gateway integration and merchant account provisioning for the application. Operational impact focused on merchant-facing payments operations and payments acceptance workflows in the United States, with governance and operational ownership residing with the merchant services provider and the gateway connectivity managed through the Merchant Focus integration.
