In 2003, Intergamma B.V. began using AFAS Profit. Intergamma B.V. is a franchise organization for GAMMA and KARWEI stores in the Netherlands and Belgium and uses AFAS Profit as its ERP Financial platform supporting HR and administrative functions. The HR department initiated an optimization at the beginning of the year with defined goals to work simpler, more efficient and to gain better insight into processes. The optimization project targeted configuration and process clarity within the existing AFAS Profit installation.
The optimization focused on HR functional modules inside AFAS Profit, including establishing a digital file, creating standard documents, expanding Employee Self-service and Management Self-service capabilities, adding signals and provisioning free device functionality, and converting multiple HR transactions into workflow-driven processes. AFAS Profit was configured to centralize employee dossiers and standardize template documents to streamline hire to retire workflows. The work emphasized workflow orchestration and role-based self-service to reduce manual handoffs and increase process transparency.
Operational coverage concentrated on the HR department and extended to managers and employees across the franchise network in the Netherlands and Belgium, with AFAS Profit serving as the ERP Financial and HR data authoritative source. Configuration changes and automation were applied at the application layer inside AFAS Profit to improve HR case handling and document management. The effort aligned application configuration, document templates and self-service interfaces to support consistent HR operations across sites.
Governance and change management were led by HR staff including Jackie Hartman and Miranda Lohuis, who managed user resistance and operational traffic during the transition to the optimized configuration. The optimization reached completion and is described as achieving the stated objectives of simpler operations, improved efficiency and better process insight within AFAS Profit. The project represents a focused, application-level optimization of AFAS Profit at Intergamma B.V.

In 2015, Intergamma B.V. began implementing INCONTO Contract Management, a Contract Lifecycle Management application, to optimize visibility and access to its contract portfolio. The initiative was announced as a targeted effort to achieve a better overview and wider accessibility of current contracts across the organization. The implementation is reported to be in full swing, and if schedules hold Intergamma will start using the module on 1 December.
Configuration and module selection focused on core Contract Lifecycle Management capabilities, including a centralized contract repository, metadata indexing and advanced search, template and clause library management, approval and signature workflows, and role based access controls for segmented visibility. The vendor decision was driven by INCONTOs ability to adapt standardized software to Intergamma business processes through custom design, so the project emphasizes configuration and process mapping rather than prescriptive process change.
Operational coverage targets enterprise access to contract records, extending visibility to contract owners, procurement and commercial teams while centralizing document management for corporate functions. Governance and rollout are being managed as a configuration led deployment, with process mapping workshops to align INCONTO Contract Management with existing workflows and a staged enablement plan ahead of the planned 1 December go live.
