Info-Power International Legacy ABW ERP Manufacturing ERP, Distribution ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2018
In 2017, International Potato Center implemented ABW ERP to establish an Enterprise resource planning backbone across its Peru operations, engaging vendor Info-Power International for delivery. The deployment aimed to centralize transaction processing and reporting for a 600 person nonprofit, with emphasis on structured requirements definition and prioritized data migration workstreams. The project encompassed Analysis, Design, Programming and Implementing phases for core ERP functionality, including configuration of reporting, security rights and access permissions, and standard Enterprise resource planning capabilities such as financial transaction processing, procurement workflows and inventory reporting. Development priorities included specification of development requirements and the sequencing of configuration versus custom programming, aligned to operational process needs. Technical implementation focused on data extracting, transforming and loading for the Data Migration process, and integration of existing applications with ABW ERP through bespoke integration work. Reporting configuration and deployment were implemented as a discrete workstream to deliver operational and management reports, while data migration activities were structured to preserve data fidelity during ETL operations across departmental systems in Peru. Governance and operational readiness included development and operation of technical testing programs, production of technical documentation, and ongoing reporting on progress and issues to management and users. Security administration and maintenance of access permissions were established as part of rollout governance, and the project team maintained iterative communication with stakeholders to manage requirements, testing outcomes and post-implementation support tasks.
