In 2016, InTown Suites implemented Epicor CRM. The Epicor CRM deployment was configured to support accounts receivable and customer master management for the Atlanta accounts receivable team, covering a $3M portfolio of Direct Bill accounts and embedding the system in the company CRM environment. Configuration work focused on customer master setup and ongoing customer master maintenance, cash application processing across ACH checks and credit cards, dispute resolution workflows, and AR reporting. The team used Epicor CRM to record and resolve invoice disputes and short pays, prepare journal entries for monthly commissions accruals, and to run month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting routines. Epicor CRM was integrated operationally with Salesforce and SAP, with routine reconciliation and reporting across Epicor, Salesforce, and SAP environments. The integration supported synchronized customer records and consolidated monthly reports, reflecting joint use of Epicor CRM and Salesforce for customer setup and master data management. Governance and process changes included prioritization rules for accounts based on collection impact, formalized dispute research and resolution procedures, and a conversion of all AR files to digital format to make data accessible to the Accounting Department. Process improvements implemented against payment trend analysis were intended to reduce bad-debt, while monthly reporting and cash application controls supported ongoing accounting and collections operations.
