In 2025, Island Diversified migrated to Sage Intacct Construction, deploying Sage Intacct as its core ERP Financial platform. The New York based contractor specializing in walls, ceilings, and specialty finishes moved from Sage 300 CRE to address disconnected workflows, limited reporting flexibility, and the need for real time job cost visibility, with Accordant Company serving as the Sage implementation partner and configurator.
The implementation prioritized project accounting and core financial modules within Sage Intacct, including configured AIA billing workflows, job costing, change order tracking, and role based dashboards for project managers. The team implemented automated time entry and payroll processing through a construction specific integration with Miter, enabling direct job level cost allocation and reducing manual journal activity. Data cleanup and process mapping were executed during cutover to align field time capture and cost codes with project workflows.
Miter was integrated to push time and payroll data into Sage Intacct, creating an end to end flow from field crews to the office, and the cloud native architecture provided unified project views accessible to accounting, finance, and project management in New York, USA. The deployment centralized billing and real time cost reporting inside the ERP Financial environment, strengthening collaboration between the back office and project teams. Sage Intacct Construction served as the single source for estimates, job costs, billing, and change orders.
Governance and operational changes included role based access configuration, approval workflows for time and payroll, and a staged rollout to bring project managers into the system. Training and ongoing data cleanup were part of early stabilization, and Accordant supported post go live adjustments to permissions and report templates. These governance actions focused on ensuring PMs and finance had consistent views and reduce manual reconciliation.
Island Diversified now operates with simplified AIA billing that cut hours from the monthly process, automated time entry and payroll with direct job cost allocation, and unified project level visibility for estimates, costs, billing, and change orders. The cloud native Sage Intacct platform delivered immediate visibility and a scalable infrastructure that reduced administrative overhead. The company continues to refine dashboards and extend role based PM access to further embed the ERP Financial system into daily operations.
