ITAC selected Penta Construction after an 18 month evaluation to consolidate engineering, design-build and self-perform construction work into a single database, replacing multiple internally developed custom applications used to manage critical financial and operational functions.

Functional coverage included project cost control, purchasing, time tracking and field data collection, and the implementation incorporated PENTA Business Analytics for historical performance analysis and current performance trending.
Operational coverage extended across ITAC’s headquarters in Richmond, the Chester office and the broader Mid-Atlantic and Central Virginia service footprint, supporting both office and field workflows. The implementation emphasized integrating customer, vendor and employee data throughout engineering and construction operations and enabling decentralized, mobile access through web and mobile oriented capabilities aligned to Construction ERP requirements.
Governance and process changes focused on eliminating duplicate effort across disparate systems and standardizing business process management to consistently execute project delivery workflows. ITAC leadership framed the Penta Construction implementation as an investment expected to deliver improved performance, productivity and accuracy in managing project cost control, purchasing and time tracking.
