ADP Legacy ADP Workforce Now Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, J.D. Power deployed ADP Workforce Now Benefits to centralize Benefits Administration across its HR operations. The deployment was positioned within the HRIS and benefits management function supporting the company’s global workforce and day-to-day benefits processing responsibilities. ADP Workforce Now Benefits was configured for core benefits enrollment and open enrollment workflows, and for administrative management of group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plans, flexible spending accounts, and the 401(k) plan. The HRIS and Benefits team implemented eligibility rules, enrollment processing, COBRA administration, terminations and change processing, beneficiary management, claims handling for disability and accidental death, and standard qualified plan transactions such as rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans and hardship events. The implementation was integrated operationally with SuccessFactors for performance management and compensation review cycles, and it involved close coordination with HR, IT, Finance and Payroll for periodic data audits and payroll record updates. The benefits administration function retained vendor and third-party administrator relationships for plan operations and worked with the broker on 5500 preparation and filing, while maintaining the group benefits database and producing regulatory and internal reporting. Governance and process controls were defined to support compliance with FMLA, ADA and ERISA, to administer leave of absence requests and disability paperwork, and to prepare required filings such as EEO-1 and federal and state agency reports. The HRIS and Benefits role served as the primary contact for system questions, produced employee data reporting and audits, and documented business requirements and process architecture to sustain ongoing Benefits Administration using ADP Workforce Now Benefits.
