SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Jack Wills implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its SAP ERP Financial solution and concurrently executed a Warehouse Management System program to align inventory and warehouse operations with core finance and inventory records. The implementation scope included enterprise ERP Financial stabilization alongside a focused WMS rollout, with workstreams to capture requirements, map existing architecture, and define warehouse master data and operational configurations. The project delivered configuration and operational design for warehouse and storage locations, inventory strategies, and order and delivery types, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 serving as the central ERP Financial system that reconciled transactional inventory postings and master data across modules. Business requirements gathering and As Is architecture mapping informed the WMS functional design, and the team implemented the new warehouse structures and process definitions to support goods receipt, storage, and outbound order flows. Integration work centered on sustained interfacing between SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and store point of sale data management, the order management system, Jack Wills websites, and store till systems, with the team designing and implementing key interfaces between in-house and third party systems. Operational infrastructure changes included a hosting provider transition for all systems from HP to PCMS, and continued improvement of interfaces to ensure data consistency between the ERP Financial core and external sales and order channels. Governance and operational support were formalized under an Application Support Team Lead who coached a three person support team to handle first line technical support, system testing, and integration activities, and partnered with the programme manager to coordinate the WMS transition. The internal career progression from SAP super user to solution architect over five years reflected growing ownership of solution design and support governance, and rollout activities emphasized testing and integration workflows to align technical and business stakeholders.
