In 2022 Kansas City Life Insurance Company implemented TAI Reinsurance Management System to centralize reinsurance settlement, reporting, and adjudication workflows under an Insurance ERP framework. The implementation configured core reinsurance management capabilities within TAI Reinsurance Management System, including settlement request generation, reinsurance billing for captive, assumed, and retroceded business, and ad hoc reporting built from SQL queries. Reporting output was formatted in Excel to meet reinsurer specifications and used proof of passing documentation to support settlements.
Operational integrations tied TAI to existing enterprise systems, explicitly including AS400 claims data reconciliation, IBM Mainframe policy investigation sources, OnBase document storage, Swiss Re web tools, SSRS extraction, Microsoft Access for reconciliation workflows, and a TAI Connector to transmit reimbursement files via FTP and MFT.
