Intuit Legacy Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise ERP Financial ERP Financial Management x 2008 2008
In 2008, Katz, Sapper & Miller implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. The deployment positioned Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as the firm’s ERP Financial system to support monthly financial statement production and ongoing client accounting services for service, transportation, medical, and manufacturing clients. The implementation focused on core ERP Financial capabilities, configured to manage general ledger activity, accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows, and standardized financial reporting to produce monthly client statements. Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise was used as the primary transactional ledger and reporting engine, with configuration work to align chart of accounts and period close processes to the firm’s monthly statement cadence. Operationally the QuickBooks Enterprise deployment operated alongside established tax and engagement tooling, with tax return preparation performed using ProSystem Tax and Engagement software, and research supported via CCH. Statement generation and presentation workflows were produced using Creative Solutions in concert with QuickBooks data, creating an ecosystem where accounting, tax, and research functions each used dedicated applications within the firm’s accounting and tax service lines. Governance emphasized documented accounting workflows and role-based processes for monthly close, statement delivery, and parallel tax preparation, embedding the Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise ledger into existing engagement procedures. The rollout consolidated routine financial statement tasks into the ERP Financial environment while retaining specialized tax processes in ProSystem Tax and Engagement for compliance and research activities.
