In 2008 Keystone Bank Plc implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking application to support Core Banking Operations - IT Operations & Support. The deployment engaged system integrator Inlaks and targeted bank-wide coverage including head-office units, branches, and subsidiary rollouts.
Temenos T24 was configured to support daily banking operations with operational processes such as Close of Business and End of Month operations executed in both production and UAT environments. The implementation included extensive use of Structured Query Language to build SQL scripts for incident resolution and user-driven reporting, process automation for routine workflows, and continuous application uptime monitoring aimed at zero tolerance for system downtimes.
The Temenos T24 environment functioned as the integration hub between third party applications and the core banking platform, with integration services documented via technical guides and schematic diagrams that detail touchpoints and server level service interactions. Operational scope included generation and rendition of user and regulatory reports across the bank, support for roll-out of business applications to subsidiaries, and technical support for both head-office units and branch operations.
Governance and operational discipline were emphasized through mandated documentation for onboarding, developer collaboration to produce deployment guides and troubleshooting schematics, and formalization of monitoring and proactive maintenance processes. Process improvement activities focused on improving application workflows to better match business needs and increase stakeholder value while maintaining strict operational controls around COB and EOM processing.
