Operationally the solution ingested transactional, retail and financial data through standard Power BI connectors and an on premises data gateway where required, consolidating views for finance, merchandising, supply chain, store operations and sales teams. The platform provided scheduled refresh and role level security to support governed access across those business functions.
Governance was structured around a central BI team led by the System Architect, with workspace and dataset lifecycle controls, publishing workflows and versioning practices. Rollout proceeded incrementally from corporate analytics to retail operations with targeted analyst enablement and adoption activities to operationalize reporting and dashboard consumption.
