In 2012, Knauf UK deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial platform and implemented SAP ERP SD across the UK and Ireland. The project established SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the system of record for sales distribution and tightened transactional controls within the ERP Financial domain.
The implementation covered transactional and accounting capabilities including sales and distribution configuration, financial accounting, general ledger and banking workflows, treasury and hedging activities, Capex approval and tracking processes, and monthly and annual internal and external reporting cycles. Responsibility for ledger teams, financial accounting and banking analyst roles was embedded into the SAP operating model, and forecast preparation plus budget and strategic planning workflows were aligned to SAP master data and reporting structures.
Integration work extended beyond the initial rollout, with explicit business integration activity to bring acquired businesses into the main UK organization. From 2014 through 2016 Knauf UK completed pre acquisition M&A activities through to post acquisition integration of manufacturing, logistics and support processes, ultimately integrating those processes onto core SAP systems.
Governance and operations change management followed the technical deployment, with operations change management projects conducted post implementation in 2013 to align finance teams and reporting to the Finance Director. The resulting architecture positioned Knauf UK SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial to support centralized finance governance, distributed manufacturing and logistics operational coverage across the UK and Ireland.

| Cegid | CIPHR HR | Cegid Talentsoft Core HR | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Knauf UK implemented Cegid Talentsoft Core HR as a regional HRIS deployment for Knauf Northern Europe. The implementation formed part of Knauf's Digital HR Transformation and Technology program covering 86 countries and approximately 35,000 employees, and it replaced CIPHR HR for the regional scope. The regional rollout targeted UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, with Knauf London operating as HRIS Global Process Owner for the program.
The deployment centered on Talentsoft HUB, using the Cegid Talentsoft Core HR application together with Talent Management for performance and talent review and Talentsoft Analytics. The program also implemented Actimo to manage learning content for the Knauf Academy Leadership Development Programme. Delivery responsibilities included business requirements workshops, detailed functional design, configuration, unit testing and user acceptance testing, cutover planning and full deployment.
Integrations were planned and coordinated with IT&S to enable a standardized user provisioning process and cross-system data flows between Core HR and identity and backend systems, explicitly including OKTA, Active Directory, IdM and SAP. Operational coverage focused on Hire-to-Retire processes across the HR workstream and supported regional HR subject matter experts and end-users in HR, talent and learning functions. Data collection, conversion and go-live activities were part of the integration and deployment scope.
Governance operated under a Global Process Owner model, with the GPO acting as design authority for end-to-end business and system processes and owning prioritization and backlog management with IT&S. Change management included training, communications and SME enablement, and the rollout defined hyper-care, maintenance and support processes post go-live. The program followed staged delivery from fit-gap analysis through configuration, testing, go-live and post-deployment support.
Program leadership managed the commercial relationship with the software owner, budget control, scope of work, resource allocation and implementation timelines. The HRIS solution delivery lead directed configuration, testing, cutover and operational handover while coordinating regional teams and IT&S to maintain data quality and process standardization across the implemented Core HR environment.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP CMMS | Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, Knauf UK implemented SAP CMMS as its Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) application at the Immingham manufacturing site. The deployment targeted the Engineering and Maintenance functions to standardize work order capture, shift handovers, and maintenance recordkeeping across shift electricians and production support staff.
SAP CMMS was configured to manage preventive maintenance scheduling, reactive work order management, asset and equipment records for process control systems, spare parts sourcing and inventory recording, and condition-based maintenance workflows including thermography and vibration analysis. The implementation prioritized technician-facing workflows for rapid breakdown logging, detailed handover documentation, and maintenance planning tied to planned shutdowns and maintenance periods.
Operational use of SAP CMMS was aligned with on-floor control and troubleshooting activities, with engineers and shift electricians working with PLC control systems such as Siemens S7 while entering fault detail and corrective actions into T-CON and SAP CMMS. The operational scope covered the Immingham plant, and the application was used by Engineering, Maintenance, Shift Management, and production teams to coordinate parts provisioning and maintenance activities.
Governance enforced health and safety procedures and 5S clean-as-you-go standards as part of CMMS-driven workflows, with daily maintenance meetings and role-based responsibilities for data entry and records accuracy. Training programs and documented processes required technicians to maintain accurate records on T-CON and SAP CMMS and to provide full, detailed shift handovers to preserve operational continuity.
