The solution went live in June 2024 and has been operated as a national scheme across Kuwait, integrating with participating banks and payment service providers to enable account to account transfers. Operational coverage included scheme operations, participant bank operations, and retail payments processing, aligning central infrastructure with bank adapters and participant onboarding processes. Governance focused on scheme onboarding, participant certification, and operational rules to manage clearing and settlement. The rollout onboarded over one million accounts in its first year after go-live, rapidly increasing real-time payments adoption across Kuwait, illustrating ACI Digital Central Infrastructure driving national payments scheme orchestration and participant scale.
