In 2020 Kredi Kayıt Burosu KKB adopted Micro Focus PPM as its centralized Project Portfolio Management platform to consolidate project governance and improve operational efficiency. The deployment targeted enterprise project portfolio activities across KKB’s project organization in Turkey, aiming to standardize workflows and increase throughput for the finance industry services it supports.
Micro Focus PPM was configured using core Demand, Project and Portfolio modules and provisioned with out of the box functionality to minimize ongoing customization and upgrade complexity. The implementation included configuration for Time and Resource management reporting, automated workflow rules, and an OPTiiM developed anomaly detection tool that scans PPM for missing information, incomplete workflows, and data entry errors and suggests corrective actions based on company business rules.
The PPM environment was integrated with OPTiiM’s Aangine portfolio planning solution to enable what if scenario modeling and AI powered portfolio and resource optimization at the portfolio level. The solution was also designed to integrate with third party applications where required, providing a central hub for project intake, prioritization and capacity planning across KKB’s project portfolio.
Governance changes included the introduction of standardized project management workflows, automated anomaly detection with user prompts for remediation, and a gamification layer developed by OPTiiM to accelerate user adoption and reduce data anomalies. These process controls enforced company standards for project data quality and created a repeatable audit trail for portfolio decision making.
KKB reports explicit outcomes tied to the Micro Focus PPM deployment and integrations, including 80 percent of projects delivered on time, a 22 percent increase in the number of projects handled annually, a 30 percent reduction in product development time, and productivity gains equivalent to up to 20 full time employees. KKB also plans further enhancements such as an autonomous project management assistant using AI and machine learning to automate routine activities and predict demand driven resource allocations.
