In 2022, Kushner deployed Yardi Job Cost for Construction Estimating to centralize job cost tracking and align project accounting with corporate budgeting workflows. The implementation formed part of a broader Yardi rollout that included Rent Café, Rent Maximizer, Procure to Pay, Yardi Accounting, Yardi Budgeting, Residential Module and Commercial Module, and was operated by an internal Enterprise Applications Support Analyst function that handled day to day platform support and configuration tasks.
Yardi Job Cost was configured to support accounting, development and operational reporting needs, including creation of custom ADHOC reports and specific accounting and operational reports requested by the CFO. The project scope included setup and configuration for new acquisitions, design of accounting and job cost ledgers, and extension of platform functionality to meet business objectives while maintaining data flows between cost capture and budgeting modules.
Integration work explicitly connected Yardi Job Cost to Yardi Accounting and Yardi Budgeting, and to Rent Café and Rent Maximizer for revenue and leasing data, plus a Procure to Pay interface for purchase and invoice level cost capture. Operational coverage spanned Accounting, Development, Property Management, Asset Management and Operations teams, with support channels managed through ticketing systems, email and phone, and remote training delivered via web meeting tools such as GoToMeeting and WebEx.
Governance and operationalization activities included development and documentation of plans, policies, standards, procedures and checklists, maintenance of up to date platform documentation, root cause analysis of repeat support requests, and escalation processes for unresolved issues. The implementation emphasized service level responsiveness, ensured ticket resolutions met response and escalation requirements, and enhanced the performance and functionality of the Yardi platform to align with Kushner business processes and reporting needs.
