Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013 La-Z-Boy implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as an ERP Financial solution to standardize Order to Cash processes across its manufacturing and distribution footprint. The program targeted five supply centers, seven manufacturing plants, and multiple distribution centers, and it was led by a team of eight with subject matter expertise in production operations for a leading residential furniture producer with annual sales of more than $1.36 billion. Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was configured to support core Order to Cash workflows, including order management, pricing and discounting, fulfillment orchestration, invoicing, and accounts receivable. Configuration work emphasized transactional integrity between sales orders and financial posting, and standard accounting controls consistent with ERP Financial capabilities were applied to billing and revenue recognition processes. Operational implementation aligned order capture to production scheduling and distribution execution, ensuring order flows moved from sales through manufacturing and distribution centers. The deployment tied production operations subject matter experts into design sessions to map shop floor status and inventory allocations into the ERP Order to Cash lifecycle, preserving continuity between manufacturing execution and financial settlement. Governance and rollout were organized around a centralized implementation team that acted as process owners and SME leads, with staged site rollouts sequenced by supply center and plant readiness. Training, cutover sequencing, and operational handoffs were coordinated with production teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing cycles and distribution operations.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, La-Z-Boy implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution to support corporate Talent Acquisition and pre-employment clearing. The deployment was embedded into the recruiting lifecycle at World Headquarters in Monroe, MI, and extended to support international interview scheduling and screening coordination managed by HR specialists. Configuration centered on candidate screening workflows common to BackGround Screening platforms, including automated screening order orchestration, status tracking, document collection, and case reporting. Functional usage emphasized scheduling triggers, candidate communication tracking, and document ingestion to align background screening steps with new hire onboarding processes. Integrations were explicitly tied to La-Z-Boy applications used in recruiting and onboarding, including Jobvite for applicant tracking, Workday for HRIS visibility, ServiceNow for operational case tracking, Canvas for Jobvite text communications, DocuSign for new hire paperwork, and Adobe Acrobat DC for document handling. These connections enabled initiation of background checks from recruiting workflows, visibility of screening status in HR systems, and coordination of onboarding paperwork alongside clearance steps. Operational governance remained with the corporate Talent Acquisition and HR operations teams, who coordinated scheduling, candidate communications, billing, reporting, and filing. Processes were adjusted to centralize pre-employment screening activities within Sterling Background Check, with HR specialists monitoring results and updating orientation and start-date workflows as part of routine TA administration.

Domo Legacy Domo Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2018
In 2015, La-Z-Boy deployed Domo as its Analytics and BI platform. The Domo deployment was intended to centralize business analytics and reporting functions and to accelerate adoption of self-service intelligence across the company. La-Z-Boy is a manufacturing organization with about 10,200 employees and moved to Domo to provide a single-pane view of operational and strategic KPIs. Domo was configured to deliver executive dashboards, operational scorecards, and self-service analysis workflows. Implementation work emphasized data modeling, visualization templates, scheduled reporting, and role-based access controls aligned with Analytics and BI best practices. The configuration supported both curated dashboards for leadership and ad hoc exploration for analysts. Operational scope centered on the Strategy and Analytics organization and extended to distributed business units responsible for operations, sales analysis, and financial reporting. Governance components included user provisioning, access policies, and structured content ownership to promote consistent metrics and reduce reporting sprawl. Training and change management were incorporated to drive usage across analytic consumers and creators. Adoption was a core objective and La-Z-Boy measured success through user uptake and confidence in the platform. TJ Linz, Director of Strategy & Analytics at La-Z-Boy, stated We knew user adoption would be critical to our success, but we weren’t 100% sure how to approach it, After this engagement we have the tools we need to drive adoption forward with confidence. The Domo implementation provided the tooling and governance framework for ongoing adoption activities within the Analytics and BI program.
