The implementation provided centralized application administration and day to day operational support across more than 140 duty free and travel retail stores in Australia and New Zealand, plus 150 plus corporate users based in Sydney, with IT infrastructure and application Level 1 and Level 2 support covering store POS and back office systems. Microsoft Dynamics NAV was administered for user and security management, including creation and maintenance of user accounts in Navision, Active Directory synchronization, permission sets by job profile, and the creation of local, global and cross domain security groups. The operational scope included routine deployments of application updates, service packs and patches, helpdesk ticketing through Service Desk Plus, and maintenance of the IT asset register to ensure controlled access to shared resources and ERP back office workflows. The NAV environment operated alongside other enterprise applications such as Timeteq, SAP, BW, and Cognos TM1, and integrated operationally with POS infrastructure and peripherals across 250 plus POS nodes. Monitoring and systems management used Nagios XI for device and node surveillance, and network management included HP switches and Cisco routers, Wi Fi and LAN support for more than 300 nodes. Office 365 administration and exchange online hybrid management were part of the operational footprint, and work was coordinated with external service providers including AAPT, Telstra, HP, Tyro, Commonwealth Bank, IMI, and Microsoft. Governance and runbook practices were enforced through SLA driven daily provisioning and scheduled tasks, creation and maintenance of IT and technical wikis for known issues, and after hours support for severity 1 incidents. Microsoft Dynamics NAV served as the ERP Financial backbone within this operational model, with application support, permission governance and monitored infrastructure forming the core of ongoing service delivery.
