In 2019, Land Transport Authority implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate core finance functions under the ERP Financial category. The program targeted the Authority's central finance organization in Singapore and was positioned to drive finance digitalisation initiatives, standardize accounting workflows, and strengthen operational support for accounting, auditing and taxation responsibilities.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation emphasized Financial Accounting and Controlling capabilities, including general ledger architecture, accounts payable and receivable processing, asset accounting, period end close orchestration and statutory tax accounting workflows. Configuration work also addressed public sector payroll accounting and fund management requirements typical for a government agency, and the deployment incorporated business process mapping, master data governance and automation of routine posting and reconciliation tasks where appropriate.
Operational planning included user requirements gathering, facilitation of user acceptance testing and structured go live support, with ongoing operational support for enhancement requests. The initiative accounted for interoperability with planning and consolidation workflows, with staff experience in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation version 10.1 and interest in RPA tooling noted as advantageous for finance planning, consolidation and reconciliation touchpoints.
Governance and change management were formalized through complete system documentation, new standard operating procedures and role based training programs to drive adoption. Risk management activities were incorporated to identify and mitigate potential project and financial control risks, and vendor management processes were established to ensure contractual delivery and post go live support for SAP ERP ECC 6.0.

Governance was organized around standardized vacancy request and approval workflows and recruiter workflow management to align online application handling with public sector hiring procedures. PageUp ATS on the LTA website provides the candidate-facing application flow and the back-end recruiter tools needed to manage applicant pipelines.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, the Land Transport Authority implemented IBM Maximo for Enterprise Asset Management. The deployment consolidated asset control for LTA fare systems and engineering operations in Singapore, capturing IT and non IT assets across gates, ticket validators, value checkers, ticket vending machines and on board equipment.
Configuration emphasized asset master data, condition based monitoring, maintenance planning and lifecycle management capabilities within IBM Maximo to support reliability testing and planned life extension programs. The implementation leveraged asset tracking records and workflows to manage service history, maintenance schedules and parts traceability consistent with Enterprise Asset Management functional patterns.
Integrations explicitly included state of the art asset tracking systems using GPS and RFID tags feeding asset location and status into IBM Maximo records and work management. Operational coverage spanned the fare systems engineering group, manufacturing quality assurance activities and vendor led reliability testing for MRT station gates and ticketing hardware across the organisation.
Governance and process transformation were driven by senior engineering leadership who updated PFMEAs, authored test plans and coordinated cross functional process improvements to improve serviceability and extend equipment life. Documented outcomes from the program included a reliability campaign extending NOBE and on board equipment life by five years, a value checker redesign delivered at one tenth of the cost of a new design and automation of gate throughput testing that eliminated the need for twelve manual testers.
