Technical delivery relied on PL/SQL and Java development, Unix based support tasks, use of EBS public APIs and open interfaces, the XML gateway where applicable, and ongoing maintenance of system interfaces and customizations.
Operational responsibilities included execution of project requirements gathering, system testing support, incident resolution and liaison with vendor support desks, and maintenance of integrations and interfaces to other finance and data solutions. Staff were expected to work with or support connections to Oracle Data Relationship Manager, Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Application Express, SAP PCM and SAP Business Objects as part of broader finance and reporting workflows.
Governance and process activities were embedded into the implementation, with participation in user access reviews, audit and governance tasks, and collaboration with business teams across Legal & General to support change management and workload estimation.
