In 2022, Levi Strauss de Mexico implemented Oracle Responsys Campaign Management to accelerate digital shopping channels in response to changes driven by COVID-19. The initiative targeted direct-to-consumer eCommerce and email-driven acquisition and conversion as the primary business functions to shift demand away from physical stores to digital storefronts.
Oracle Responsys was configured to manage end-to-end email campaign workflows within the Oracle Advertising and Customer Experience suite, covering strategy orchestration, message design, audience segmentation, automated scheduling, and distribution. The deployment emphasized a robust, automated campaign management capability that enabled lean operations, with Levi Strauss de Mexico operating the system with two people working a couple of hours per week.
Levi Strauss de Mexico engaged BDS Consulting as the implementation partner, with early involvement from Oracle and a defined implementation timetable and goals. Operational coverage centered on the eCommerce marketing function in Mexico, with campaign management driving promotional and lifecycle email programs and internal governance coordinated between marketing and the implementation team.
Governance included a clear rollout plan and joint dedication from Oracle, BDS Consulting, and Levi Strauss de Mexico leadership, led in-market by Palmira García, eCommerce Marketing Manager. Results reported by the company were explicit, Oracle Responsys became the top conversion tool generating 10 percent of all sales, conversion rates rose to four to five percent during large promotions, delivery rates exceeded 98 percent, open rates increased from 12 percent to 20 percent, unsubscribe rates dropped below one percent, and the organization recovered its implementation investment in five months.
