| In-House Applications | Legacy | In-House ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, LG Chem deployed an In-House ATS Applicant Tracking System on its website. The In-House ATS centralizes applicant intake from the public careers pages and serves as the primary system for managing candidate pipelines for corporate talent acquisition.
The implementation emphasizes standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job requisition publishing, candidate profile and resume capture, resume parsing, configurable recruitment pipelines, interview scheduling workflows, and automated candidate status updates. Administration interfaces provide role based access for recruiters and hiring managers, and configurable workflow steps enforce approvals and candidate dispositioning.
Operational ownership is maintained within LG Chem through its in-house applications model, with the In-House ATS used by HR and recruiting teams to publish jobs on the website and manage end to end hiring workflows. Governance focuses on role based controls, workflow configuration, and recruitment process standardization across corporate hiring, with the ATS embedded in the public careers flow to capture applicants directly.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Blockchain Platform | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 LG Chem implemented IBM Blockchain Platform as a pilot to provide Blockchain Platform-based provenance for cobalt used in lithium-ion battery cathodes. The pilot was overseen by RCS Global and included Ford and Huayou Cobalt, tracing industrially mined cobalt from the Democratic Republic of Congo through smelters into secure bags and onward to LG Chem’s cathode and battery plant in South Korea, then to a Ford vehicle plant in the United States.
The deployment used the IBM Blockchain Platform shared ledger to record serialized asset transactions and custody events, with secure bag identifiers entered onto the chain to create an immutable audit trail. Configuration emphasized provenance workflows, participant validation and transaction-level trace records, leveraging standard Blockchain Platform capabilities such as distributed ledger recording, auditability and chain of custody orchestration to record custody changes from mine to smelter to battery assembly.
Operational integrations in the pilot connected mining supply points, smelting operations, LG Chem’s cathode and battery manufacturing site in South Korea and Ford’s assembly plant, reflecting an end-to-end supply chain scope from Congo mining sites to finished battery integration. IBM also referenced exploratory use of chemical analysis powered by artificial intelligence to augment provenance verification, providing an additional verification layer alongside ledger-based provenance.
Governance was structured under RCS Global oversight and aligned with OECD responsible-sourcing guidelines, with participant validation intended to address risks such as child labor and conflict sourcing. The pilot aimed to demonstrate traceability workflows and was reported to be scheduled for completion around mid-2019, and RCS Global noted the IBM Blockchain Platform could be extended to include other minerals and artisanal miners as validated participants.

In 2020, LG Chem implemented Cisco Webex Meetings on its corporate website to provide Audio Video and Web Conferencing capabilities. The deployment is surfaced as web-embedded Cisco Webex Meetings instances on the public site, enabling browser-based join flows and cloud-hosted conferencing to support external customer interactions and synchronous collaboration across business units. Cisco Webex Meetings is positioned as the primary synchronous communications layer for corporate communications and remote collaboration functions.
Functional coverage emphasizes scheduled and ad hoc meetings, multi-party audio and video, screen sharing, and recording and playback, consistent with Audio Video and Web Conferencing workflows. The implementation relies on Webex cloud conferencing services for session brokering and media routing, and is delivered through web-embedded access patterns to reduce reliance on native client installs. Operational scope is concentrated on the corporate website, where Cisco Webex Meetings orchestrates external-facing meeting orchestration and supports corporate communications and collaboration use cases.
