In 2019, Lindström Oy implemented Rillion AP Automation, deploying an AP Automation solution to centralize invoice processing and orchestrate approvals within the finance organization. The implementation positioned Rillion AP Automation as the company’s core AP Automation capability for accounts payable teams and invoice lifecycle management.
The deployment was configured to deliver core AP Automation capabilities typical for the category, including automated invoice capture and data extraction, configurable approval workflows, PO matching and exception routing, electronic archiving, and vendor invoice orchestration. Configuration focused on workflow rules and exception handling to reduce manual routing and to standardize invoice validation and approval steps across finance users.
Operationally the implementation targeted accounts payable and finance functions, providing a centralized process layer for invoice receipt, validation, and payment authorization. The Rillion AP Automation deployment was structured to align AP workflows with Lindström’s corporate controls and invoice handling policies, supporting consistent approval sequencing and auditability across the finance organization.
Separately, Lindström Group has already implemented Palette’s invoice management solution in 13 countries and plans rollouts to Germany, Croatia and Poland before a broader global rollout, with the purchasing module extended initially to at least six more countries. Palette’s solution is described by the company as enabling sustainable growth and standardizing processes between operating countries, with Juho Häkkinen, Finance System Controller, stating that the unified way of working together with Palette’s solution guarantees the efficiency of the entire process from purchase to payment and ensures the process follows group level policy on invoice handling and approval before payment.
