In 2017, Lockheed Martin implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as part of an Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud program that included Global Payroll, Absence, Performance Management and Workforce Modeling. The Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management deployment was scoped to Absence and Leave Management and focused on configuring absence plans, eligibility profiles, accrual processing and balance management tied to Core HR and payroll processes.
Configuration work used Oracle Fusion Functional Setup Manager to implement Core HR and Absence configurations, and developers wrote Absence Management fast formulas for accruals, input validations and approval routing. Reporting and analytics were delivered via OTBI and OBIEE style extracts, with HCM Extracts and scheduled OTBI reports created for absence transactional reporting and payroll reconciliation. Security design included creation and modification of data roles, security profiles, job roles, application roles and duty roles managed through APM, OIM and the Security Console.
Integrations implemented in support of the absence function included inbound and outbound HCM Extracts for payroll interfaces, a PeopleSoft Payroll interface and integrations to recruiting and talent systems such as Taleo. The project also documented and supported integrations to ADP time and payroll products including e-TIME and Payforce for time capture and payroll feeds, and delivered scheduled report distribution to email and FTP targets to support HR and payroll operations. Operational coverage emphasized global HR scenarios including mass global transfer handling and payroll balance conversion processes.
Governance and process controls were formalized with business requirement documents, functional designs and configured workflows, including custom workflow routing rules for manager and employee self service. The program employed conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, end user training and post production support processes, and included SR engagement with Oracle for issue remediation and ongoing configuration maintenance.
