Dynaway DXC Eclipse DAXEAM Dynaway EAM for Business Central Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2021 2021
In 2021 Luck Stone implemented Dynaway EAM for Business Central as its Enterprise Asset Management solution, replacing the DXC Eclipse DAXEAM system after adoption failures left maintenance data unreliable. The implementation aimed to centralize maintenance records and make asset information accessible for plant and quarry operations across the company. The deployment included Dynaway EAM and Dynaway EAM Mobile to support role-based work flows, with personalized role centers configured for foreman, mechanic and maintenance materials coordinator work queues. Functional capabilities implemented or actively used include mobile work order creation and inspection capture, historical repair data access, a cost-control tool for slicing maintenance spend by functional location and object, and planned use of scheduled maintenance and forecasting modules. Integrations were executed with Luck Stone’s Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to enable in-ERP access and reporting, and a custom integration was developed between Dynaway EAM and Caterpillar VisionLink to automatically ingest mileage and hours-in-use for preventive maintenance scheduling. Operational coverage included on-site plant and quarry inspections, mobile adoption across 96 users, and integration of inspection-driven alert rules that create work orders and trigger procurement notifications within Dynamics AX. Governance and process changes focused on role-based queues and simplified mobile workflows to drive user adoption, reducing classroom training from days to hours and delivering a mobile client that required about five minutes of training. The new process eliminated paper handoffs for the annual Operational Excellence Evaluation, halved inspection preparation time according to the customer, and produced auditable maintenance and safety records used for MSHA compliance. Explicit outcomes stated by Luck Stone include dramatically increased user adoption, faster access to maintenance cost information, shorter training times and quicker creation of corrective work orders. The customer reports improved ability to analyze repair histories and cost drivers at the equipment and work order level, and plans remain to roll out Dynaway scheduled maintenance and forecasting to expand preventative maintenance and long-term trend analysis.
