In 2014 Lucy Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP Financial platform. The implementation formed part of a group wide digital programme across a diversified international business operating in 9 countries and 16 remote locations including UAE, Thailand, Brazil and India, supporting approximately 600 users worldwide within a 1,600 employee organization.
The deployment emphasized core ERP Financial capabilities typical to enterprise finance systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and multicurrency controls, configured for multi entity consolidation and statutory reporting. Configuration work focused on centralized financial master data, role based security and automated transaction flows to reduce administrative overhead, while development and release automation was delivered through a global DevOps approach that combined three distinct software development areas.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was integrated into the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including M365 Modern desktop 365 and Teams, and the group deployed ServiceNow to manage IT service delivery processes such as incident, change and request fulfilment. Operational coverage targeted finance, procurement and corporate reporting across group entities, and the rollout supported both onshore and offshore delivery teams, including an offshore service desk in India.
Governance and programme management were led by the Head of Group Information Services with a 60 plus multidisciplinary global team, instituting ITIL based service management, an annual technology planning and budgeting process, and a Project Management Framework to govern rollout and change. Documented outcomes during the programme included a 17% reduction in group systems spend against budget and a 30% reduction in administrative overhead for digital systems following process automation and integration efforts.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Lucy Group implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management. The deployment provisioned Absence and Leave Management capabilities within the broader Oracle Cloud HCM footprint to centralize employee absence recording, entitlement calculation, and manager-driven case workflows.
Configuration work focused on standard Absence and Leave Management functional modules, including absence type definitions, entitlement rules, notification workflows, sickness case management, and employee and manager self-service interfaces. Configuration aligned absence entitlements and workflow stages with the company HR policies and statutory leave requirements, with the Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management application used as the authoritative system for absence records.
Operational integration routed absence data into the organization payroll processes, supporting monthly and fortnightly payroll cycles, and the HR Administrator maintained system data and transactional updates. The implementation covered HR, payroll, and line manager workflows across Lucy Group operations in the United Kingdom, with HR Advisors accountable for advising managers on sickness absence and for administering disciplinary and capability processes tied to absence records.
Governance responsibilities were formalized in process documentation and policy updates, with HR Advisors and HR Administrators owning configuration changes, case escalation, and system maintenance. Ongoing operational oversight included periodic policy reviews to reflect legislative changes and procedural coaching for managers to enforce consistent absence handling through Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management.
