In 2022, Luso implemented Microsoft 365 to provide enterprise Collaboration across its Portugal-based insurance operations. The deployment was provisioned for the companywide user base of approximately 93 employees to support core business functions such as underwriting, claims administration, finance, and customer service.
The Microsoft 365 implementation centered on Exchange Online for email, SharePoint for document management, Teams for meetings and chat, and OneDrive for personal file storage. Configuration work focused on tenant-level provisioning, mailbox and OneDrive provisioning, SharePoint site topology aligned to business units, and Teams channel structures organized by function. Standard Collaboration workflows such as shared document co-authoring, centralized intranet sites, and persistent chat for case coordination were enabled.
Governance was implemented through role-based access controls, sharing and retention policies, and administrative role separation between IT and compliance to control Collaboration settings and data governance. Operational coverage spanned the organization in Portugal with a staged rollout approach and business user onboarding focused on Teams and SharePoint workflows. Luso Microsoft 365 Collaboration supports internal communications and document management across insurance business functions.
