Architecturally the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation instance operated in the cloud as part of the SuccessFactors suite and was integrated with on premise SAP systems including HR, FI, PS, SD, Manufacturing and SAP S4 and SAP HANA platforms. The program also linked to enterprise content management and collaboration systems listed as Documentum and OpenText, procurement and supplier tooling such as SAP Ariba, and SharePoint based intranet and extranet environments, creating end to end data flows between Employee Central, finance ledgers, and content repositories.
Governance and rollout were managed as a global HR systems initiative with centralized configuration standards, coordinated compensation governance and process alignment across HR and payroll functions, and inclusion in longer range system plans for HR. The implementation outcome is recorded as a successful global implementation, and the deployment served as a central Compensation Management platform within LyondellBasell Industries HR technology landscape.
